Why You Should Not Use Windex On Car Windows

Rick Fink's Blog | Why You Should Not Use Windex On Car Windows

Surely when you think of window cleaning your first thought goes to the window cleaning solution, Windex, or perhaps a generic form of the blue stuff.

However, you should not think to use Windex on windows of your vehicle due to the ammonia that it contains.

Even though Windex and products like it are safe and serve its purpose on other windows and mirrors, it does the opposite on auto glass.

In fact, Windex or any other window cleaning products that contain ammonia will not only leave streaks on your vehicle's windshield, it too can damage tinted windows.

So the next time you go to clean your car's windows, look for ammonia-free products for best results!
